Slow Cooker WILD RICE W/GOLDEN MUSHROOMS

WILD RICE WITH GOLDEN MUSHROOMS
FOR SLOW COOKER

1-3/4 c wild rice
½ c golden raisins
1 med onion finely chopped
1 tsp dry thyme
5 c chicken broth
2 tbsp dry sherry (optional)
3 tbsp thinly sl green onions

Place rice in fine wire strainer and rinse under running water. In 3 qt or larger electric slow cooker, combine rice, raisins, onion and thyme. Pour in broth. Cover and cook at low setting until broth has been absorbed and rice is tender to bite (5-6 hrs). Stir in sherry, if desired. Sprinkle w/green onions before serving.

Hi, Sharon,

I don't even have a slow cooker, and was just browsing the recipes (it's lunch time), but I am mixed up about whether you mean raisins or mushrooms. Sounds delicious with mushrooms
