Help me think of something!

Okay so I know I could scroll through and look at everything, but I was hoping that maybe someone had a favorite recipe they could direct me to. We're doing final presentations in my class on Friday and everyone is bringing in food and I'm already making a cake, but I wanted to bring something non-dessertish that I could eat and everyone else would enjoy. I'm thinking something substantial like a warm dip that could go with some sliced baquette bread or I'm not sure what. I can bring something warm since I'll come straight from home. I don't have a ton of time to make something and realize it's not so great so I figure if I got a recommendation of something you know is good then that will speed the process up! Thanks so much!

Artichoke Bean Dip

1 - 15 oz can navy or pinto beans, drained
1 - 14 oz can artichoke hearts, drained
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 garlic clove, pressed
2 whole green onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.

Variations: Add to basic recipe - green olives and chives or chopped fennel and chives or chopped rosemary

Works with anything dippable.

I know there are some recipies for cold pasta or potato salads that are pretty easy to make. That would be a pretty simple search through the recipie index if you decided to make one of those.

Well, I ended up trying this anyway...along with other stuff, thankfully. This was really bland. I kept adding so much stuff to it to try to make it better....I figured it couldn't get any worse. It was passable in the end, but I won't be making it again. Just in case anyone was interested!
