Bread Machine - Excellent Sandwich Bread

*makes 1.5 pound loaf

1 cup water
2 tablespoons margarine
1/4 cup sugar
2 egg whites (orignal calls for 1 whole egg)
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon yeast
1 teaspoon salt

Place in machine the the order your machine asks for and cook on the regular cycle. The bread has enough body to slice for sandwiches. Sometimes I substitute 3 tablespoons molasses for the sugar or add 1 tablespoon italian seasoning.

** You can also put in on the dough cycle and shape into turkeyburger buns or hogie rolls.

We just made this bread - and within hours, the entire loaf was gone! We ate it with soup and it was delicious. My husband raved about it so much that I had to make another loaf after dinner!

I used Earth Balance buttery sticks in place of the margarine and Eggbeaters. Thanks for a great recipe - definitely a keeper!
