So I have been feeling SO WELL for 8 weeks now and last nightI sneaked about 12 french fries  on an empty stomach from my brother's takeout.
I have pains today and had to leave work. I will get over it but I am going on holidays next week and at least I won't be tempted to try it there and be sick on holidays.
Brother came home with his friend and woke us up at 4am and I had been following the US election til 2am. So I got 4.5 hours sleep, 2 first and 2.5 later. No wonder I got cramps after that.
Nelly/Heather...slap me please!! (you guys are soo good at it)
that said, I am still positive and in a sick way am glad that I got this little fright

It's not "sick" at. We ALL understand because we ALL have been there! Your statement, "at least I won't be tempted to try it there and be sick on holidays," rings SOOO true. When you're "on holiday," and see all the so-called "good stuff" that everyone else is eating, you won't be tempted! Makes all the sense in the world to me.
So now you go on holiday and ENJOY!

I was just reading the reply you gave and noticed that you registered on Nov. 4th a year ago. So tomorrow is your one year anniversary! Just thought that was kind of funny that I'd notice that the day before. 
And Sinead I know what you mean. And every time I eat something like that and know I shouldn't, I remind myself when I'm sitting there feeling awful that I need to remember how awful that is and never do it again, but needless to say it still does.

Hey Nelly- you were bad first! I have had about three french fries hidden in a roll before and that was ok- roll must have soaked it up. Have also realised that I dipped the fries in his blackbean sauce from the Chinese which was bound to be laced with the dreaded MSG  ...my avoid at all costs worst trigger...DOH!
I am such a lame-o blaming my brother. The waking up thing IS his fault definitely though...I haven't seen him today but marked his cards when I spoken to him earlier...
He has been sorted out though... my Dad (who lives 2.5 hours drive away) was in Dublin and business and dropped by this morning- my brother's platonic female friend stayed over last night, Dad met them having breakfast together and proudly announced to the rest of the family that he had met my brother's new girlfriend. (Over my dead body! I do NOT like this girl) I put my Mom straight but she reckons Dad will have told the world by now!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

the funny thing is she's not his gf at all, but honestly a platonic friend he has known for years. She is his best friend he says. He has no taste in friends, or else she is just hiding ALL her redeeming characteristics from me and BF!
A close friend of BF and I got married in September to a girl who makes him miserable but he thought that noone else would have him(self esteem issues) They got back from honeymoon on a Thursday and weren't speaking on Saturday. We have told him from the time we met her first that she was wrong for him (he even told HER that BF had said this!)
Poor old BF had to be bestman at the wedding...what a funny day that was, WE all had fun anyway. I guess it his life...still though its harder for you when your SIL is going to be at all family events etc...not worth the family grief to disagree but HARD to accept..
At least family all LOVE my BF !!
