New Med=Constipation (argh)

hey guys, as you may or not know, im on levsin, an antispasmotic for my IBS-d.It works Great, but reverses my problems from D to C. now im IBS-C! lol. im not familiar with being c really at all. does anyone have any food selections that could possibly "speed things up?" maybe oatmeal? oatmeal always gave me d, so mabey it has the willpower to push my c! lol

well, drink green tea (not decaffienated), exercise (at least walk around for 15-30 minutes), and drink lots of water!
if this doesn't work, or the "c" lasts longer than a 1 or 2 weeks, i would think about going off it. colons, when normal
do have small spasms that keep things moving, they have to, but ideally they are gentle movements, not violent
ones. this anti=spasm medicine may be halting the movement of your colon altogether, which is a bad, bad thing.

Hey! I was just thinking about you last night, wondering how you were making out on the med.
Maybe you are taking too much? Are you still taking it at 5 pm & 5 am? Mine says "Take 1 capsule every 12-24 hours as needed for pain". I've never taken it 2x in 1 day, only 1x at night before bed. Maybe you can check to see if you can only take 1/day?

aw.... (((hugs)) thanks mags, you make me feel so special when you said you thought about how i was doing. it really means alot to me that you care. anyway, the label says take twice a day and its a .125mg dose. i like having c better than d anyway i figure i'll just let y body adjust to it. thanks again...
