Benefiber works well for me when Heather's tummy powder isn't on hand. however, its pricey. My local pharmacy has a generic alternative with methylcellulose. Is it okay? My body doesn't do well with psyllium fiber.

Optifiber, if you can find it, is great and very inexpensive. They sell it at Sam's Club and maybe CVS.

They don't disolve as well, but Walgreen's and Top Care's versions of Benefiber also work for me. I forget what they each call it, but they are both in canisters with green labels.

I guess i wasn't specific enough. I'm looking for something in pill form for times when i can't measure out powder.

For pills, I use Top Care's version of Fibercon when I'm away from home. It's calcium polycarbophil. Costs about half as much as Fibercon and works just as well for me.
