I'm so done being a couch potato! This was fun, and I got hella attention! I set up the Cyclops stationary trainer right on the beach. People would walk by looking at me like I was insane, then see my arm and understand.

I've been laid up twice with shoulder surgery - and was in a sling for a few weeks each time. I know what you feel like - just lounging on the couch! I did a lot of walking, and taking the bus across town for physio - You go stir crazy after a while! You have to get out!! I gave up caring what people's impression of me were - I had one arm inside my jacket, in the sling - people at least usually held the door for me!! Good luck on the rest of your healing, you're doing great so far!!

Thanks everyone!
Its funny, children and old folks came up and asked me all about it! I actaully love the trainer, but Its still a little boring being stationary. Its so tough on a sunny day, to look at my bike, and my kayak, and reach for the remote.

It was kinda funny when he first set up I was there with him... people would walk by, not seeing the front of him... they would stare & point...then once they got around to see the front...they were like "Oh!!"... I had a hard time leaving him there...(see the last pic is taken from across the street)..I wanted to make sure he was ok for a few before I left... luck me I got to go to the laundry mat! LOL But, I did go to kickboxing at 9:30am...so it was only fair that Shane got his workout too!
