More questions from a newbie

Formally diagnosed on Monday after 7 years of issues. Trying to take all of the info in and want to make sure I'm understanding things correctly.

So, typically, one can safely consume a food item that contains wheat flour (not whole wheat) like flour tortillas, yes? In looking at a few different crackers today at the store, most of them contain only wheat flour and no dairy. Can these be safely consumed? I was thinking crackers would be easier to carry around than rice to prime my digestive system if I end up in a social situation where there is nothing to utilize for that need. Specifically, I was looking at Saltine crackers, Club crackers (original), and Ritz crackers.

Also, we have the following waffle mix in our pantry: http://www.krusteaz.com/pancake-and-waffle-mixes-products-46/belgian-waffle-mix-97#!ingredientstab . Would this be okay to eat, maybe with a little peanut butter for insoluble fiber and protein?

Also, is all-purpose flour okay? Or do I need to specifically look for a white flour (that would be different than AP flour)?

You could replace with egg white and lower the oil too in the instruction.

Do you have a specific brand recommendation for flour tortillas?
Glad to hear an AP flour is okay! That will make things a lot easier!

And, oh, I don't have the book yet but am going to order it soon.

One other question: I read on the web site where pasta is okay. That would be pasta made from durum wheat/semolina, yes? Not the kind made from whole wheat and other insoluble fiber grains? Haven't had pasta in a long time; would love a small plate of pasta and a nice red sauce!

No particular brand of tortilla, sorry;Also, I would start out the meal with white rice to buffer the usually higher amount of possible fat trigger in tortillas v.s. breads in meals.

Yup, as long as it is the more soluble part of the wheat which is the white wheat pasta, not the whole grain (with the insoluble bran part of the grain). Also, white rice pasta. Yes, do get that book and read thoroughly so as to get a bird's eye view of it all, really helps;Also has some menu ideas, very very helpful to see how it all works. Yes on that good red sauce
