Vegetable gardens are such a pleasant memory for me, inasmuch as my grandparents and later, my in-laws had huge gardens and would always "can" enough for themselves and us too - what a treat!
Right now, my HB and I have such a hectic work schedule, we just don't have the time. But, in about 1 1/2 years, hope to retire (62 then) and spend lots of time gardening.
We are blessed to have several seasonal vegetable markets and a farmer's coop market bringing in produce from Alabama, NW FL and local. It's a treat for all the "senses"!
