from at those restaurants. Classic American (or even worse, fancy French) are the ones where I pretty much have to default to seafood or sit there and eat nothing but the bread basket.
This actually is fine with me, as I love ethnic food and would happily stick to all those great restaurants. It's harder with groups where everyone else wants a standard traditional meal or, God forbid, a steakhouse. I still find myself eating in advance because the odds are so low I'll be able to get a safe meal at those places.
