Re: Potato Bread (yeast question)       04/28/04 02:59 PM Edit Reply Quote KellyAndersson Reged: 03/24/04 Posts: 272 Loc: N.California Mags, this'll crack ya up, I can't REMEMBER what the deal is with rapid rise yeast and regular yeast, but I do remember that years ago when I learned the difference I swore I'd never buy or use rapid-rise yeast. LOL regular flour: shouldn't make much difference. You'll have slightly better texture in the finished product with bread flour (higher protein). white pepper: hmmm that's interesting. This would be good with a teaspoon of cardamom added. Or use half bread flour and half rye flour and substitute beer for the water and add either dill or cardamom and you'd have a DANDY rye bread.
