Now I know I shouldn't have been eating the skin! Try Rome Beauty apples when they're in season, they bake up very nicely. Here goes: Baked Apple 1 medium apple, washed and cored 1 tablespoon raisins 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon butter Cinnamon Place the apple in a microwaveable dish. Put the brown sugar in the apple, add the raisins, break up the butter and put it on top. Then sprinkle the cinnamon generously over the apple. Zap on HIGH for 7 to 8 minutes or until the apple is tender. Serve warm. If apples are room temperature, the cooking time will be slightly shorter (6 minutes).
