I absolutely love soups and stews any time of the year. A bay leaf or a pinch or two of mixed Italian seasoning might also be good in this recipe. I happen to presently have part of a cooked chicken breast in the frig, and I will add that cut into pieces just before I turn the stove off. What a great way to use leftovers and clean out the frig at the same time!
