I made it with bay scallops - I swear I read the recipe 3 times and never saw that it called for "sea" scallops. I marinated the scallops and 8 ounces of very large mushrooms caps then threaded them on skewers and grilled. The scallops and the mushrooms were delicious. I think sea scallops would be even better since they're bigger.
