The recipe also calls for salsa (which to me is awfully similar to the liquid taco seasoning) and I think that if you added liquid taco seasoning along with the salsa and the egg beaters you'd end up with too much liquid. So I say use the dry taco seasoning. Be cautious with dry taco mixes - I haven't been able to find one that doesn't have MSG or some relative of MSG. Here's an old post where I give a link to a Mexican Seasoning with no MSG that you could probably use in place of the taco seasoning and a link to a recipe for your own Taco Seasoning spice mix. web page There's no need to reduce the cooking time.
