Oh yeah, I can assure you I'm "for real." Why can't you believe that I "actually cook/bake, uh, food"? I love to cook, uh, food! It's the only kind to cook!
Yes, you bet I treat myself to "the things in these pictures." Absolutely! But don't forget, I'm on Weight Watchers, so our portions are very small. One of these cookies is all I can reasonably have, so it's not enough to bother me. I wouldn't dare eat more than one or two. It's just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Sorry you don't enjoy cooking. I do because I guess it's a part of being creative. Making something that you enjoy is very satisfying -- whether it's something to eat or wear or just look at. I confess I have a problem with failures. When I make something that's a flop, I can't stand it until I can quickly make something that's a success, to cancel out the failure.
It's called obsessive compulsive.
