GRANITA - Frozen Dessert

Granitas are like ice cones, only better.

MANGO (OR PEACH OR PEAR OR...) GRANITA

2 c peach nectar (I use mango)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice

1. Combine nectar and sugar in saucepan over med hi heat. Cook stirring often until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Pour mixture into a 13x9 baking dish, cover and freeze 8 hrs or until firm.

2. Remove from freezer. Scrape entire mixture w/fork until fluffy. Serve immediately or store in covered container in freezer.

Yield: 6 serv (serv size 1/2 c)

Points 1; cal 62; pro 0.2g; fat 0; carb 15.9g; fib 0.5g; chol 0; iron .2mg; sod 6 mg; calc 62 mg.
