Thanks for that acknowledgment. I know there is only 1 guy for every 3 women who have IBS but I am part of the club that does have it.
Since I tend to over-research everything and because I know that a genetic link to gastric issues has been demonstrated, I started looking into my family history. My research shows that my father had significant stomach issues and was sent home from the war in the South Pacific (WWII). His grandfather's secondary cause of death was listed as "nervous stomach". Apparently, this apple didn't fall far from the family tree.
