It has symptoms similar to IBS and it can co-exist with IBS. The Excedrine and Sudafed are unlikely to cause problems with sodium absorption unless she has a liver or kidney problem. Both of these drugs contains acetaminophen which when taken in excess are known to cause damage to the liver.
