You are welcome. I think that over the next few years more and more states will pass medical usage laws and we will start seeing the decriminalization for small amounts. To me, I think its ABSURD that there are so many people locked up for non violent, first offense possession of a simple plant. A simple plant that has proven medicinal benefits and that not one single person has ever died from.

Since I've started using MM, I have been able to completely eliminate one anti-depressant and lycria-a drug used for neuropathy pain with a lot of side effects and I have cut WAY back on my vicodin use. I was taking 4-6 a day, now I take 4-6 a WEEK!

For those of you that this may be a new concept for, know that you no longer have to smoke marijuana to enjoy the benefits it has to offer. You can use a vaporizer, google volcano if you are interested. Mediables, food made from marijuana oil, are wonderful. You can make so much more than just brownies!!! You can even use the leaf material to put into capsules to get the anit inflammatory effects of the CBD's (one of the compounds in marijuana) and because there is such little amounts of THC in that, most people don't get that "high" feeling associated with marijuana. I have also found that the capsules we make using our leaf matter help keep me more regular.

MM has improved my depression greatly and decreased my anxiety. My shrink thinks its a great alternative for me as well. The constant nausea I was expierencing has greatly improved, I rarely throw up anymore. The anti inflammatory properties help with my swelling greatly and actually improves my IBS problems.

Also keep in mind that there are MANY, hundreds at least, different strains of marijuana. First off, what you may have bought as a teenager in high school is NOT medical grade. Medical grade is grown with care, mine is all organic and comes from the best genetics available. Certain strains cause different feelings and helps certain problems better. The main two types of medical marijuana are indica's and sativia's. Indica's are short, more dense plants that produce a "body" high, more like a narcotic pain medicine. When most people think about marijuana this is what they usually invision. It can make you just want to be lazy, it can be body numbing so good for extreme pain and usually gives people the munchies. The sativa's are much taller plants that usually take longer to grow and produce more of a cerbreal high. Sativa's are a very energetic "up" type of feeling. Excellent for depression, tends to make people more social.

Within those two main types there are hundreds of strains. Certain strains work better for certain people. The strain Blueberry I find will kill my nausea with just the smallest amount. If I am having a bad pain day, I have a strain called RX that was designed for pain relief.

At our Compassion Meetings, which we hold every month at local libraries, we get all sorts of people. Sure, there is always a kid or two thinking this is just a cool way to legally get high and we discourage them from our groups very quickly. The majority of people are your average Joe. We have several older couples that have never used medical marijuana before but because of serious health issues like cancer and MS, they are trying it and I think thats wonderful. For the most part, its about people coming together that either haven't received adequate relief from traditional medicines or they are looking for alternative, more natural relief without all the harsh side effects from most modern pharmacuticals (sp? sorry, spell check on the blink!)

This is something I am very passionate about and I feel that it can help a lot of people with a lot of different illnesses. Try googling Rick Simpson Oil, he has made a concentrate oil and it has been proven to actually kill certain types of cancer. If this just isn't your cup of tea, I respect that but please have an open mind to those that do find relief from something so natural.
