My sphincter muscles are very poor but they said it was from having children. I am a lot older than you are - I could be your grandma! No one seems to understand that constipation with the leaking problem can be as bad or sometimes worse than D at times. I love when I have D and get cleaned out. Also if I need to go somewhere I can take an imodium. I am so glad your mum recognizes that this really does need medical attention. Please don't be embarrassed. Everyone initially feels "I don't want anyone looking down there." Just think that when the doc diagnoses you, you will know what is wrong and it can be treated.
