You just secured my traveling will NOT include Mexico.

I know I am late on your post, but something to think about-
I had a very similiar situation as you, and sometimes I still do (depending on what I eat...). My colon is actually too small to normally pass poo so I had to have a new fangle type plastic surgery/ skin graph to help. I also have IBS D or just IBD since I can also swing into colitis at the drop of a germ.

I strongly recommend you get on Heather's diet ASAP. It has been the only thing to help me really get over this. I also take a fab-u-lous cocktail of Topamax and Lexapro to help with anxiety and they both have strong side affect of Constipation.

You still have to do your part. Ask what is in everything and don't eat it if you are not sure. I can tell you I will poo before I am READY if I have a drop of liquor or milk. Very embarassing...

Now if we can just make barium taste like strawberry daquris?
