Oh, just about once a day I think to myself that I should wait until Mia is 2 to try and get pregnant again, just so we can enjoy our time together with her. And who knows---maybe it won't be as easy this time around and it will be a while before I do get pregnant. But with the way our life has changed having her, and with my age, and the fact that I think it's possible we'll have a third...I think sooner would be better. Like I'd rather have 2 close together, wait 3 or 4 years and then have another. Instead of one now, wait 2 years, another one, wait 2 years...does that make sense?? I know it will be hard, but I feel like I'm up to the challenge now, so I should go for it. I have a friend who just had a baby that isn't sleeping well, so it's really reminding me of all that a newborn entails, and it hasn't scared me off yet!

Plus, Mia isn't in daycare---the babysitter comes to our house, and we don't really hang out with other kids and babies, maybe once every few months, so having a baby would sort of be for her too---she LOVES other kids, and the whole socializing thing would be good for her. When we're out shopping, when a little kid goes by, whether they are a baby or a 10 year old, she just lights up! I also get a lot of help from my parents...and they aren't getting any younger.

Incidentally, I am much closer to my brother who is 5 years younger, than my brother who is 1.5 years older. So the whole close-in-age thing doesn't always guarantee anything, I know that from experience.
After saying all this, I'm sure when the time comes that I do get pregnant again, I'll have a panic or two. But heck, I did the first time around too!

And you ladies aren't old!! I can totally see myself having another baby at 38, that's kind of why I'm having 2 close together, because I want that as a possibility. I'm scared of having kids after 40 because of the increase in problems. And the fact that I will probably be pooped!

On hard days though, I totally find myself looking forward to the days when my kids, however many I have, are old enough to entertain and feed themselves!
