Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | My DH lost his wedding ring....

Last weekend we went to the beach and went swimming....while we were wrestling around in the water he looks down and his ring is GONE! We don't know where he lost it though.

I was so upset because that was the one that was blessed at the church, a part of the ceremony, in all the pictures etc. I was just about crying and even my husband was upset.

So on Tuesday I went to see if they still had his ring and low and behold there it was. I was so relieved. We have only been married for a year and a bit so that's why we could find it.

The worst part was we bought him a little fancier ring because he didn't plan on ever wearing it...it had diamonds in it and white gold with yellow gold. It was very nice.

Well - he ended up wearing it everyday for work and it was getting really worn out (after only a year). He works in construction and is always laying conrete, jack hammering etc and the dust and dirt just did a number on it.

So now we have two rings for him....a ring the same as the original which we are saving for special occassions and a gold band for him to wear to work. He wasn't too happy about that at first, but I would hate for us to try to find the same ring in a few more years when that ring has been discontinued.

The funniest part of the whole thing:

When discussing if he should wear a ring to work at all because of it's safety issues too he says: But I really like wearing my ring to work, I like being married. Awwwwww!

He ends the sentence with: Maybe in a few years when the novelty of the ring wears off I won't wear it as much! Whhhattt!!!

Men! No idea! Of course he back pedalled when he seen the look on my face!!! And said: I didn't mean it like that!!!
