My mother's doc diagnosed me with Fibro!       02/15/05 10:07 AM Edit Reply Quote Nelly Reged: 08/06/04 Posts: 4381 Loc: Within stray mortar fire of DC I NEVER knew about fibro until I joined this site! I was so mad reading posts about it because all the symptoms I've been complaining about since I was 10 and nobody EVER mentioned Fibro to me!! But now I know I have it, I've been trying to read up about everything. I feel so stupid because I could have been being treated so long ago if any doctor had ever looked at all those stupid boxes I checked off on all those forms I filled out over the course of a lifetime going to doctors! But I'm on the right track now, I hope! I'm taking amitriptyline to sleep and feeling a lot better because of it. Plus I'm not working right now so I have the chance to really treat my body with care. I'm thinking about joining a support group but I haven't found anywhere I fit in yet.
