The thing with IBS is that there can be so many factors operating at once - you don't mention what the 1 1/2 teaspoons are - I am assuming acacia fibre?
In your previous post in August, you mention she was taking an antibiotic also which can play havoc on the GI system as you know.
Firstly, it does sound as if your daughter may be finding a balance - many times, the hypno sessions work in that the symptoms swing to the opposite major symptom, then back again to the original, and then less and less, until a balance is found. So that "could" be what is happening and it can be pretty common - so I wouldn't worry about that.
Secondly, the antibiotics taken in August could have had an effect, and adds to the brain-gut memory even after the infection is gone.
She should just continue on with listening to the program according to the schedule. Take care of the symptoms as they come if you wish and let her take whatever she needs to ease symptoms if necessary. As long as she does not have a rapid weight loss or fever, or drastically different symptoms, this is all most likely the IBS adjusting to find the proper balance for what is right for her. This will take time - after all she has had IBS longer than one month, so it takes time to get that proper balance in place.
If ever you are uncertain of her symptoms being beyond IBS, or they change very drastically do consult with her physician.
Hope that helps - all the best to her and to you... just be patient, and let her know it will be OK - sometimes just knowing that this is part of the process can be helpful.
Hope she improves and finds a good comfortable balance soon.
