I had surgery on my stomach on August 10th 2004. The doctor had to open up the pyloric valve in my stomach and cut some of the vagus nerve to my stomach to stop my stomach from producing too much acid. Prior to this surgery I had my gallbladder removed. Since I had the last surgery I have lost 60 lbs. and I am down to 113 lbs. I am 5'7" tall. I can't eat sugar because of "dumping", and can't eat any dairy. I have tried to gain weight but can't seem to do so. I have been taking Primal Defense probiotic for almost a year and enzyemes.

A doctor told me 20 years ago that I had spastic colon but I just lived with it as it wasn't that bad. When I ask the doctors now if I have IBS they just say yes but that its just a word.

Now I have had D for over a year. After the last surgery I went for 2 weeks at one time and had no D. Now I have it all the time. I don't understand.

I don't seem to do well on Rice. It just seems to go right through me. Why is this if rice is supposed to bind you up? I have been taking Acacia fiber for the last week and have worked up to 1 teaspoon 2 times a day is that alright? Should I take more? What is the maximum dose? I am also taking Imodium. I have also been going to acupunture treatments but don't know if they really help.

I also started going to counseling for the depression I have been battling since this last surgery. I also was depressed after the gallbladder surgery.
