Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Do I have IBS, IBD, or both?

I'm going to contact my doctor no matter what responses I get here, but since its 2 AM, and I'm unsure, thought I'd ask. When I was 12, I started getting constant diahrrea, and it only subsided after I took predizone (a steroid, which was absolute hell). I went from about 110 lbs to about 95. I then started taking asacol daily. After I got over it, I shot up to 130 pounds. I went into remission until I was 15, then had chronic diahrrea again. This time I went from 145 lbs to 135 lbs. This time I took remicade for treatment, which was much easier. I shot up to 150 pounds afterwards, and eventually up to 180. (I'm 6"4, so I can carry it). This year, when I was 17, I briefly had some trouble during finals, and dropped from 180 lbs to 165, but around christmas break, I immediately quit having diahrrea, and put the weight back on gradually. I know weight loss is supposed to be an IBD symptom, not an IBS one, but this weight loss only takes place after weeks of diahrrea. And obviously non retention of food will make anyone lose weight. My stools are almost never bloody (an IBD symptom), and when they are, its probably because my bowels are irritated from releasing and being wiped 4-5 times a day.

That's as much detail as I know to give. Do you think I have IBS or IBD? I've had 2 major flareups in 5 years, and I currently take asacol daily. I;m pretty rebelliopus, and regularly drink coke, eat junk food, etc. I even play basketball for the school team with varying levels of success. Base don what I've told you, would you say IBS or IBD?
