Prolonged QT is when a wave in your heartbeat is prolonged. Sometimes the symtoms are fainting or near fainting, and pain like a heart attack. I had all the symptoms and my school nurse took me to the ER. They dismissed my symptoms as well until I told them that I had rapid heart beat and they reluctantly ran an EKG. They were shocked at what they saw and so I was in the cardiologist's office the next day. He ran more tests and said it was from meds. Protonix and any anti-spasmodics (like Levsin) can cause Prolonged QT. I am not sure what you have, but don;t let them brush off the heart stuff because of your age. Demand an EKG so you can rule heart prob's out. Leah p.s. I have anxiety issues as well, but I have never had severe chest pain with it. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
