How much of the bacteria is in a quarter teaspoon? I take Jarro, which is in capsule form, and I started out at one capsule per day. One capsule contains 4.4 billion organisms. I am now up to two capsules per day, or 8.8 billion. I would say it makes sense to start out by taking enough of the powder to equal 4.4 billion, and move up to 8.8 billion.
