He took a cotton cloth or old hankerchief, filled the center with Salt 1/2 to 3/4 cup and tied it with a rubber band. Then he put in a skillet, cloth and salt side down in skillet and warmed it on the stove. Then while our son laid on his side placed the warm pack on his ear. It worked on the earache and stayed warm for quite awhile. Easy to reheat. My husband said his mom taught him this health tip.
