My coworkers want to eat out all the time       10/20/16 11:25 AM Edit Reply Quote CaraM Reged: 01/31/16 Posts: 9 Need advice FAST (have to handle this situation tomorrow!). My coworkers LOVE to eat lunch out together. I'm not fond of the concept, partly because my blood sugar dictates that I eat small snacks periodically through the day (not one big lunch at one sitting) and my IBS makes it a lot easier for me to bring my lunch, containing what I know I am comfortable eating. What's the best way to handle frequent "team lunches" (where you kind of HAVE to go, or look like a jerk), in restaurants? I want to just carry in my food, but I never know how the restaurant will deal with that and I don't want to embarrass my team. On the other hand -- I really just want them to stop inviting me, and understand that I cannot physically handle these lunches. What's the most tactful but effective way?
