Rice syrup contains 45% maltose, 3% glucose, and 52% maltotriose Agave syrup contains 56-92% fructose and 8-20% glucose Maple syrup contains about 97% sucrose (glucose + fructose) and 3% glucose and 1% fructose Dextrose is 100% glucose Glucose is the most important source of energy for the human body. Usually problems with glucose are related to blood sugar levels which is indicative of problems like diabetes and hypoglycemia. Diabetes effects the GI tract producing some of the symptoms you mentioned.
