Hello, my fellow sufferers, and Heather. So nice to have a forum like this, for support and understanding.
I was diagnosed with IBS 30 yrs ago. I was given a pill to help with it, but gave it up because of extreme drowsiness. Since then I have also been diagnosed with: hypoglycemia (with the 5 hr. glucose tolerance test), acid reflux, and most recently CELIAC DISEASE. Needless to say, my diet is very challenging. I am a big fan of your products and eating tips Heather. I would be lost without you
My IBS is so bad now that I see a Naturopathic Doctor for vitamin drips, accupuncture, and special medications. She has given me SeaCure, Pancreatin and Genestra HM Forte probiotics. However, inspite of trying to follow all of your eating advice, taking your Tummy Fibre 3x/day, using the Fennel Tea, and listening frequently to your Hypnosis cd's, my IBS continues to rule my life.
Is it possible to take too many Probiotics? I take between 3-6 each day.
I try to follow your "rice or potatoes only" diet for at least a day after an episode, but my blood sugar gets really low and I can barely function.
I have lost my job of 10 yrs, and feel very skeptical about being able to keep one now, even if I could get one (at my age - 63).
I am just at my wits end, and getting very depressed. Any help/advice/support that anyone can offer would be a God-send.
Thanks and God Bless you all, my fellow soldiers in this stinking battle,
Karen
