Hi, this sounds exactly like me. I am also an A, and when I am in a period of D, I can only take 1/4 to 1/2 of Immodium, otherwise it will throw me into C, for a long time. So, I am very careful how much I take. And also, I only take it if I am D during the week, and need to get on the road, for work. Otherwise, I let the D run it's course.

I have also thrown up on occasion, and I used to think I had a stomach bug. Now I know better. It all depends on how backed up I am. I have been known to use a laxative (not recommended on these boards), but when you don't want to end up in the ER, you will do what it takes for the immediate relief, then you can work on long-term. I would not recommend that to you, since I am not a doctor, and you are throwing up now. You could also have an impaction, so you may want to make contact with your doc.

You sound so much like me, it's incanny. Usually, once I baby my stomach somewhat, use a laxative, and can finally go, I find relief from the vomiting. I also experienced, at least twice that I can remember, the cold sweat, weakness, and feeling like I was going down. It was because I was so extremely backed up.

I would be very careful in the future about how much Immodium I take. For some of us, who especially run C most of the time, it only takes a little bit.
