Thank you all so very much. I finally figured out how to use the recipe exchange index (duh) and I am so jazzed now. So many new things to try. I will make DH a couple special meat dishes that can freeze well in portions, but I am going to try a lot of ground turkey or chicken breast recipes for stuffed peppers and meatballs and stuff. those Peking chicken burgers sound delish. DH loves shrimp and scallops and I can get pretty good frozen ones at Trader Joe. Plus I do buy him bologna (yuk - but it's Boars Head so I don't feel like I am killing him) and hot dogs which he loves (again Boar's Head). I guess I had just hit the stress wall. I've managed to recovery this weekend and will be going back to my daughter's tomorrow. She is doing better (3 weeks post surgery) and I think after this week she won't need so much help. She has great markets near her - Gelson's and Whole Foods. Where I live we don't have all that good stuff, so maybe I can get fresh mussels and try one of Sand's recommendations.
