I have felt better off sugar. It is not a trigger food for GI symptoms so it is allowed on Heather's diet but some feel better off it and perhaps some don't do well with it due to PH problems or yeast or that kind of thing. I tried to cut out sugar recently but didn't have the willpower and I mean to try again. I have never heard of avoiding natural sugars like in sweet vegetables before.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
