Yeah so I haven't posted here in a long time cause I was doing pretty ok, obviously not perfect but fairly stable with my IBS. I recently decided to do a diet to boost your sex drive, which says to eat no soy and to eat 30% protein/40% carbohydrates/30% fat. Mind you I'm vegetarian, so eating that much protein without soy is a bit difficult! So far I'm having more IBS symptoms, mostly I think due to trying to cut down on white flour products I also tried to eat some dairy to up my protein which ended VERY BADLY, basically awful D, then unable to go for 8 days(though taking Colace everyday), then I finally went(extremely painful) and saw undigested dairy/food in it . I have some questions:
1)Do digestive enzymes and probiotics really work? And if so, do they help you digest everything better or just some things? I just haven't tried them in so long because my IBS has been stable. Any suggestions? And is there something that will help me digest fat? Cause I don't know if I can eat 30% fat without it bothering me.
2)Has anyone had success using Lactaid? I just bought some new Lactaid stuff, it says it's better then the "Ultra". I'm wondering if I use this with Lactaid cheese maybe it will work??
3)Any advice on going low carb while eating IBS-friendly? I'm not on any fiber supplements, I suppose I should start.
