I have posted here a few times but not for awhile. I had moved to Florida from Ohio this summer and was dealing with alot of stress and of course ibs since last Sept. I seemed to stabalize finally in mid July. I ate everything, but some unsafe foods(ice cream after dinner, some red meat, some lowfat cheese) but also lots of fresh fruits/vegies too. I kept the habit of soymilk on oatmeal for breakfast, and still mostly eat chicken fish and turkey as a rule. That lasted about three weeks.I relapsed bad in August and went back to the safe diet, and was trying to follow the no cook menu in Heathers book. My question is if that menu has enough IF in it. I can usually tolerate some skin on fruit and cooked vegies, but there is no other fiber except dried apricots(less tolerable). I also used Acacia fiber, working up to one tbls a day and increasing. I think I stopped using it in July, probably why I relapsed and too much taboo foods. Feel better now but still wondering was caused the relapse. Last time I had this I stabilized for years! Maybe Heather can tell me if that menu has enough IF.
