I am also IBS-C and was given Bentyl about a month ago. I have been taking it once or twice a day only in the eve. My GI also tald me to take Colace along with it. I found that if I took 100mg once a day, I kept pretty regular.Sometimes I was too soft with the Colace. The Bentyl seemed to really help me with pain, bloating and gas. I took it for 3-4 weeks straight,then didnt have to take it for about a week because I thought I was stable,then started again. Working on the right combination of IF, Bentyl and keeping regular.
