I was reading through some posts regarding anal fissures and came across yours. We both suffer from hemorrhoids and fissures - a painful by-product of having IBS (yaaa for us right??). Anyway, I know that during your colonoscopy prep and when you have bad bouts of D your fissure re-opens. Mine does to. After a period of C (I am an IBS-A by the way), my fissure re-opened. Now, I am having some loose stools which are making my open fissure painful and irritated. Ok, here's my question for you...since you suffer from daily D, how do you ever get your fissure to heal and close after it has been re-opened?? I want mine to heal but feel like I am losing a the battle because I keep having loose stools. Thanks for any info you can give me!!
