My suggestion/advice would be to seek out a counselor who specializes in eating disorders. To do this, go to your primary care doctor and ask for them to refer you to an eating disorder specialist (psychologist or psychiatrist). Also, if you have health insurance, you can go to your health insurance website and look up different doctors who accept your health insurance (e.g., look for behavioral health w/specialty in eating disorders).
