When Zelnorm came out a couple of years ago, my dr switched me to it. I did have some serious D for a couple of days and it did seem to help a bit with the pain but it seemed to completely stop working after just a couple of weeks, so I went back on the Miralax. Now, I take miralax everyday but have some Zelnrom on hand for bad spells. If I get a really bad pain spell, I'll switch to the Zelnrom for a couple of days than back to the miralax. I've heard a lot of people say they also "build up a tolerance" to the Zelnorm but than I've heard of a couple of people who have taken it long term and seem to do fine! I think its worth trying for a little while and see how you do! The D should go away in a few days, if not, than I would call the dr! Remember to drink extra fluid when you are D so as not to get dehydrated!
