SSRI's CAN help offset the gut-brain reaction to processing food too quickly, and thus causing cramping, bloating, gas, and ultimately diarrhea. SSRI's can also be helpful for the IBS-C end of the spectrum. It's really a gut-brain communication correction. My best to you in finding what actually works for you. I can't recommend anything that puts the brain into a 'fog' and can make one listless.
