Hot Fudge Sauce...not sure what rice syrup is but this seems safe

Ingredients


1/2 cup (2 oz/60 g) fat-free cocoa powder
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup (4 fl oz/120 ml) honey, corn syrup or rice syrup
1/4 cup (2 fl oz/60 ml) 1% chocolate soy milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


Preparation - Estimated cooking time: Under 30 minutes -
1 In a food processor, blend cocoa powder, cornstarch, sweetener, chocolate soy milk and vanilla.
2 Transfer sauce to a saucepan and warm over low heat.

Rice syrup comes in a jar, similar to corn syrup. It's sweet (obviously!) and is a great replacement for refined sugar or other sweeteners. In my opinion, it's not quite as sweet as corn syrup.

I have found it at health food stores and at Whole Foods Market.
