If you're not whipping the cream into peaks then vanilla or plain soy milk will work well. If you're supposed to whip the cream into peaks, then it gets tricky. For some recipes you can whip egg whites instead, for other recipes it's pretty hard to come up with a substitution at all. What's the recipe you're working with?

Strawberries usually dont bother me, oh yeah it has creamcheese in it too, is there a sub for that. It says to beat the cream ubtil soft peaks form and then mix with cream cheese

I have had trouble with whipping cream too. I have made the packaged Cool Whip and used Soy Milk instead,
but it doesn't set at all. It's just runny cream.

I like to put whipped cream on top of my jello.

I have heard you can get soy cream cheese.

I am wondering if there is any other options for soy cheese etc because I just hate the taste of the
cheeses. They smell terrible and they are sticky and they don't taste good. Did anyone else find this and
just simply adjust to the taste or is there other options?

what kind of soy cream cheese have you tried before?

the only kind i've ever tried is called "Better Than Cream Cheese" and i really like it. it's almost as good as the real thing. i have it on bagels and you can't really tell the difference. even my friend kory (who's 100% wisconsinite!) likes it. so you might want to try that brand out.

I really like Tofutti products. Their Better than sour cream fooled my husband and same with the Better than Cream cheese. Especially the flavored variety. I substitute the soy cream cheese for recipes that ask for the regular. And so far have not had any problems. For whip cream I am able to tolerate the Light or Fat Free Cool Whip. It does not have dairy in it or so little that I can handle it.

Hope that helps

I have never seen that kind before. But I will definately keep my eyes open for it! This is so difficult, I am from Canada
and we don't have any of this stuff (that I can find anyways)

But I refuse to give up! I am sure I am not the only person to ever have to eat this stuff!

Thanks for the tips!
