Sounds yummy! Just make sure the peaches aren't packed in sugar water and that the amount is the same. I'm not sure whether it will work but please let us know how it turns out! I can't wait to hear back from you!

W/let u know if i EVER....... get to try it. BUT.......what do u mean make sure peaches not packed in sugar water??? Do u mean to watch out for fructose which definitely bothers me. This is why I've asked abt. the canned fruit pie billings. Know blueberries are a good food..... for D, but they do have skins like grapes. Am wondering abt the cherry pie and apple pie filling?

Tks.

Not because of the fructose, but that may also be a problem. I'm not a great cook but I think that Angel Food Cakes are one of those fussy things and they don't normally have sugar so I'm just guessing that the sugar may mess up the cake. Anyone who is a better cook please confirm this. I'm not sure.

As for the pie fillings, your guess is as good as mine. If it's full of high fructose I would avoid it. If the ingredients seem wholesome, you might be OK. I would say you're better off making your own pie fillings. Blueberry pie is as easy as a wink and only contains a little margarine, flour, sugar and salt. You can easily make your own. Put in a graham cracker crust it's quite yummy.
Blueberries and cherries are bothersome because of their skins, but if they are cooked in a pie they are easier to digest.
If you're looking for ways to incorporate fruit, you can always puree them up and cook them with some other stuff to make a nice sweet topping for pancakes, etc.
Hope this helps. I didn't really have answers for you.

Your pineapple cake is wonderful I made it last night and it is one of the best cakes I've ever made! I'm thinking of taking it to my sil's house for Thanksgiving for a healthy but delicious dessert!!! maryh

Thanks! I can't take credit though ... I got it from my Mom who got it from her friend who got it from .... and we think it's a Weight Watchers recipe. My favourite thing about it is it takes less than 5 minutes to make and tastes like it took hours. If you can tolerate it, you can "ice" it with ultra low fat cool whip, or make your own fruit topping to drizzle on top.
Have a wonderful thanksgiving. (I'm Canadian - we've already had ours)

Oh my.... I think that took me like 3 minutes TOPS.... to open the box, the can, dump in the bowl and stir... then pour into the pans....(making two loafs in bread pans) Can't wait to taste these tonight!

And.... it was so cool how the mix like quadrupled in size in the bowl (I've never made angel food cake before).... it looked so light & fluffy I wanted to jump inside the bowl for a nap! hehehe
