Asian Baked Chicken in Vinegar Sauce
(Makes 6 servings)

I don't think I've shared this yet! It's an easy and flavorful dinner that tastes great over white rice.

Ingredients:
6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1-2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
3 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon sesame oil

1. Place chicken breasts in a greased 9x13-inch dish.
2. Mix all remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
3. Cover tightly with foil and use toothpick to poke 6 holes in foil.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until chicken is done.

Adapted slightly from a recipe by Jeanette in Canada at www.recipezaar.com

I made this last night with the following changes

Quote:

Asian Baked Chicken (Turkey Breast Tenderloin) in Vinegar Sauce
(Makes 2 servings)

Ingredients:
1 skinless, boneless turkey breasts tenderloin
1 cloves minced garlic
3 Tablespoons rice vinegar
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 Tablespoons honey
1 Teaspoon sesame oil

1. Place turkey breasts in a greased 9x13-inch dish. I used a smaller casserole dish
2. Mix all remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
3. Cover tightly with foil and use toothpick to poke 6 holes in foil.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, remove cover, shred turkey with two forks into smaller chuncks, cover and bake an additional 10 minutes. Served turkey and sauce over basmati rice. YUMMERS!!

dumb question but is rice vinegar the same as rice wine vinegar. I think I have some of that in the house & I know I already have all the other ingredients to make this.
thanks for your help.

I can't wait to try it when we buy turkey breasts again!

P.S. Do you think it would be ok without the honey?
