There's a sloppy joe recipe that is already IBS-friendly right here http://www.helpforibs.com/news/newsletter/sloppyjoes042403.html

What do you do with any protein(besides fish) when you are sooooo allergic to soy?
This makes things impossible for my diet.
Even trace amounts of soy or soy ingredients and I'm flyin'
for days with unbelievable pain.
It would be fantastic to figure that one out! Very allergic to eggs as well.Same reaction, except then nausea is included.
Peachy eh?
Lovin'everyone always,
Margie

or gluten meat subsitutes (Asian markets have tons, some health food stores do too, just check ingredients to watch out for soy).

Well-cooked and chopped or blended beans and lentils would work in soups, dips, pastas, etc. Just start with small amounts if you're not used to beans and increase gradually.

Any kind of seafood would work - not just fish but shellfish as well.

Use rice or almond milks and cheeses.

Best,
Heather

just use lean turkey buger or ground chicken. The tvp is just a soy "fake" meat that vegetarians eat. hth

Hi,

I love Heather's book but I live in Australia and some of the brand names are unfamiliar (particularly biscuit & chip brands, breakfast cereals etc). Are there any other Australian sufferers who know the equivalent Aussie brands?

Started Heather's diet and had a good 2 weeks, then got stressed at work and had a few glasses of wine and chocolates and suddenly was suffering again (surprise surprise!!!)

Thanks!!!
Clare from Wollongong
