I would be really interested in what brand you use! I would have no idea how to stew tomatoes.

I couldn't find dried onion either...so this may be a ditched recipe attempt!

Where did you look for stewed tomatoes? In the canned vegetable aisle? I've also found them near the canned beans and/or near the pasta sauces.

Can you ask someone at your grocery store to help you find the items or see if they can order them for you? These are really common items used in many recipes so I'm surprised they don't carry them.

I looked by the canned veggies. I found them...just not without the dried onion, celery and green peppers. Do you know of a brand that is just plain stewed tomatoes? Or are you okay with the onion/peppers/celery ones?

Thanks Maria.

Stewed tomatoes is fairly simple to make:

Peel the tomatoes by soaking them in boiling water for
one minute. Gently pull away the skin. Place tomatoes in a large pot and add any ingredients or seasoning you want. Cover and boil gently for 15 minutes, until tomatoes are tender.

I think Del Monte's low sodium one doesn't have that other stuff. S&W also has a plain one. Actually, I don't care for the taste of canned stewed tomatoes that much; so I probably shouldn't even be helping with this topic. Lol!
